That feeling of life is going to be hard, but I'm going to be here.
That's what we get to give our kids.
We do not get to give our kids.
You will never feel pain.
I'm going to protect you from pain.
I'm never going to let anything happen to you.
God, I would pay money, big money, for that.
We don't get to do that.
But we can say, whatever you go through, we go through together.
I'm with you.
So I feel like the phrase attachment styles, it's become this kind of buzzy thing.
Are you securely attached?
Are you anxiously attached?
Are you avoidantly attached?
Or some other hybrid?
What does that even mean?
I'm pretty attached to dark chocolate, my favorite sweatshirt, and the color teal.
Is that what we're talking about?
Well, turns out no.
Attachment is about how we connect, or not, with people, especially those closest to us, our parents, kids, family and friends.
