Welcome to the Listening Time podcast.
I'm Connor from Polyglossa.com, and you're listening to episode 13 of the Listening Time podcast.
If this is your first time here, welcome.
You've found a podcast that's going to help you practice your listening skills.
So in each podcast, I talk about different topics, and I talk about them in a natural way without reading a script.
I'm just talking as the words come to my mind.
However, I speak a little bit more slowly and a little bit more clearly than the average American.
So it should be easier for you to understand me than it is to understand the average podcast made for english speakers.
The goal of this podcast is to help you reach a level of comprehension where you can actually listen to real podcasts made for english speakers.
But I know it's very difficult to reach that level of listening comprehension, and so I've made this podcast as a tool to help you reach that level.
So with every episode, you also have the transcript available, so you can access that in the details part of the episode, and you can read the transcript as you're listening, if that is necessary for you.
I always recommend listening to the same episode multiple times, maybe the first time without the transcript, and then the second time with the transcript, and then one more time without the transcript.
Again.
This is great practice.
This repetition helps you remember the new words that you heard, and it helps train your ears.
So in this episode, I'm going to talk about weddings.
This is an interesting topic.
It tells us a lot about different cultures, in my opinion.
So we're going to talk about that today.
Before we start, please remember to share this podcast and tell your friends about it and give it a like a rating, a review if you can, so that other people can find it, too.
