We’re taking a break right now, and we’ll be back in May with all new stories. But in the meantime, we’re featuring stories from the past that you may not have heard. For this episode, we’re re-releasing a story from 2013 called Keep Running, based an interview with listener Brian Foy. Brian donated money to our show (thank you so much Brian!), and in return, we took details from his life, and changed them to make a fictional story. It’s about a man running from Wisconsin to Indiana, and where his mind goes along the way. Performed by Peter McNerney, with Elana Fishbein, Louis Kornfeld, Julia Hynes, and Teddy Shivers. Got him.
This feels good.
This is the zone.
I'm just floating.
Wisconsin to Indiana.
80 miles, 12 hours one day.
Just keep my leg to the left.
Just keep running.
Keep running, keep running.
Got him.
Running for me is very meditative, but it can also take your mind to places that you can't run away from.
We made this story back in 2013 when the truth had a fundraiser and one of the big rewards for donating was to make a fictional story based on our listeners real life.
Hi, my name's Brian Foy.
I've been living in Chicago for the last 13 years.
Brian donated money to our show and I learned that he loves to run.
He runs marathons all over the world.
I'm not a great marathoner.
I'm definitely a mid pack person.
I'm average.
