Hi Matt here.
If you want to continue finding tools to a successful and happy life, I recommend listening to the happiness lab hosted by Yale professor Doctor Lori Santos.
Doctor Santos has studied the science of happiness and has found that many of us do the exact opposite of what will make our lives better.
Based on the psychology course she teaches at Yale, she will take you through the latest scientific research and share some surprising stories that will change the way you think about happiness.
This season, shes tackling topics that affect her own life like stress, perfectionism, and boredom.
If you struggle with any of those, or if it sounds like you could learn more about increasing happiness in your life, then listen to the happiness lab right here in your podcast player.
Hi Matt here.
Im amazed that we are today celebrating our hundredth anniversary episode.
A huge thank you to all of you, our listeners.
We appreciate your support, your input, and your passion to hone and improve communication skills.
Without further ado, let's get to it.
Welcome to think Fast Talk Smart, the podcast.
I'm Matt Abrahams and I teach strategic communication at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
I can think of no better way to celebrate our hundredth anniversary than by inviting back our very first guests from way back in January 2020, my good friends and collaborators, Adam Tobin and Dan Klein.
And to add to the mix and provide her expertise, we've asked Patricia Ryan Madsen to join us, as well as a quick introduction.
Adam Tobin is a senior lecturer in film and media studies and also teaches in continuing studies at Stanford.
Dan Klein is a lecturer at the GSB and theater and performance studies and also as an instructor at the Stanford Design School.
Patricia Ryan Madsen is professor emerita from the Stanford Drama department and is the author of the amazing book Improv.
Don't prepare, just show up.
Welcome to all three of you.
