Okay, and welcome back to the podcast.
And here is the second podcast for this week.
Again, we have three more expressions.
I'll read them for you twice, and I'll give you some examples and explanations.
Okay.
The first one, I'm having second thoughts.
I am having second thoughts.
Well, your first thought often is your gut reaction or something that your heart tells you.
But more often than not, it's always a good idea to sit back, think about it, as we say in the cold light of day, more clearly, and then you might think about it in a slightly different way.
And in this case, you might be having second thoughts.
Often second thoughts means you're about to change your mind, change your opinion.
Let me give you an example.
Somebody comes into you with a business proposal and say, look, if we go move quickly on this, we're going to make a killing.
We're going to really clean up, because everybody is looking for these particular gadgets, and I know where we can get them cheap and we can sell them over the Internet and, and will make a killing.
So you think, yeah, that sounds really, really good.
And you go into the details, how many you can get, what you can sell them for, and then after a couple of hours, you've been thinking about it and thinking, I'm not so sure.
You did a bit of research, they're not as much in demand, and the source isn't so reliable.
So you tell your colleague, look, I'm having second thoughts.
I think I'll back out of this one.
I don't really think this is the time for me.
