Hi there.
This is Harry, and welcome back to our podcasts.
And this is podcast number two.
And what I have for you today are three individual phrasal verbs.
And these phrasal verbs are connected with traveling.
Okay, so all to do with with travelling.
So what I'll do is I'll explain each of them, I'll give you some examples where I can, and then hopefully you'll have a good understanding of how to use them and introduce them into your own English.
So let's start with the first one.
To get in.
To get in.
Well, this, when we're talking about travelling, has to do with your arrival.
Okay, so what time does your flight get in at?
So your friend might ask you, what time does your flight get in at?
Meaning what time does your flight arrive?
So you tell them, oh, I get in at around 10:00 in the morning.
I'll make my way to the office, and then we can have that meeting, or I'm not getting in too late.
If you could, is it possible for you to meet me so that I don't have to get a taxi or wait for a train that I might possibly miss?
Okay, so to get in means time of arrival.
So you can get in early, you can get in late, or you can get in on time.
Yeah.
