Hi there.
And this is the second podcast for this particular week, and we're going to take a look at some more english expressions here.
We're going to look at three expressions connected with the word way, w a y.
You might remember that last week we took three, so this week another three.
And I'll explain what they mean and give you some examples as we go through them.
So the first one, know your way around.
To know your way around, well, this could be applicable to anything.
To know your way around means to understand how something works.
For example, to know your way around a computer.
Yeah, to know how to use different programs, to use the Mac or the Microsoft version, to know how to use some programs like Excel, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, whatever it might be.
To know your way around a computer.
So to know your way around us is they have the experience.
Ah, he knows his way around this city so well.
He's been living here for 20 years.
You ask him any street, he'll be able to direct you to it.
So he knows his way around the city.
So he'll get you there by bus, by taxi, whatever you wish to do.
He'll find out the street, even though it has changed a lot.
So he knows his way around this city very well.
He might know his way around the office.
