Okay, it's quiz time for one point.
If I asked you to name the CEO of FTX, the giant cryptocurrency exchange, what do you say?
I'm guessing the name that comes to mind is this one.
Sam Bankman Fried.
Sam Bankman Fried FTX founder Sam Bankman Fried jury selection is expected to begin for the much anticipated trial of Sam Bankman Freed.
If you said Sam Bankman Fried, I'll give you half a point.
It is true that he was the CEO of FTX at one point.
Before he turned 30, he was worth more than $20 billion.
And FTX had such massive momentum that Bankman Fried was being talked about as potentially the world's first trillionaire.
He was also good at spending money on real estate, on donations to the effective altruism movement.
Also political donations he gave publicly to Democrats and privately to Republicans.
Why the secrecy there?
As he later said, it's because reporters freak the out if you donate to Republicans.
They're all super liberal, and I didn't want to have that fight.
