It's April 1606.
We're on the dusty roads of India, somewhere between the royal capital of Agra and the northern city of Lahore in what is today Pakistan.
Along with hundreds of men and boys, you're on horseback, cantering along stony tracks, pale blue robes flapping in the breeze.
But though the cotton fabric of the robes is cool, the metal armor you wear beneath chafes, digging into every inch of your body.
The heavy chainmail clinks with the horse's rhythmical stride and your helmet slides over your sweaty hair.
But despite this discomfort, you're in no position to complain because you're part of Emperor Yhangir's fearsome army.
Any sign of weakness equals defeat.
The fourth Mughal Emperor, Yhangir, ascended to the throne less than a year ago.
He has had to hastily raise this enormous army in an attempt to crush the biggest threat to his young reign.
The trouble is, his rival is his own son, Prince Kusaru.
