So the topic we're going to focus on today is transformative experience.
I think I know what experience is, but what is the transformative bit here?
Okay, so there are a couple of senses of transformative experience.
There's an ordinary, familiar sense where people think, wow, it's kind of a life changing experience.
And the way that I use transformative experience and develop the concept of transformative experience, it includes this, but it's something a little bit more.
The idea is that it's an experience that first you have to have in order to know what it's going to be like, and then second, it's life changing.
So overall, it's a dramatically new kind of experience that sort of revises or reconfigures who you are and in that sense, changes your life and changes the nature of yourself.
