Hello.
Hello, dear listener, and welcome into speaking part three, consumer behavior.
Buying cheap things and just buying things in general.
Rory here is an expert, as you know, on buying things because his mom is frugal and she smells a deal from a mile off.
I thought you were gonna say something else there.
Something about how my mother smells?
No, no, no.
She's good at finding the best deals, okay.
She loves bargains.
So now we're gonna be talking about buying things, selling things, consumer behavior in general.
Are money issues the only reason that people like to buy cheap things?
I mean, thats the common denominator, I suppose.
I cant see any other reason why they might want to unless they could prove the cheaper product was in some way the same or better as something more expensive.
Is there any possible negative side or danger linked to always putting low prices first and not considering other things like quality or ethical aspects?
In terms of safety, absolutely.
If you compromise how safe a product is just to make a quick buck, not only could you wind up hurting your potential repeat customers, but also end up with a massive lawsuit on your hands.
I think that happened to a lot of companies who put lead in their products actually.
And do you think that cheap products are usually over lower quality than more expensive products?
Well, I mean, logically, yes, because if you spend less on them, then the.
Price should be lower and the quality is lower.
