We’re coming up on 10 years of Criminal. In the past decade, we've loved taking the show all over the country - including the time I ate a bad oyster in San Francisco and almost didn't make it on stage. It means a lot to us, to be together with you in person - so we're excited to be doing it again soon. This February, we'll be coming to Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, St. Paul, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C, and Raleigh. We're also coming to London and Dublin - we'll announce those tour dates soon. Tickets for our 10th anniversary live show go on sale tomorrow at 10 am local time, including meet and greet tickets where you can come backstage and say hi. If you sign up for Criminal Plus, you can access presale tickets now. Visit thisiscriminal.com/live to learn more and get your tickets - we can't wait to see you there. Hi, it's Phoebe.
We're coming up on ten years of criminal.
Our first episode came out January 30, 2014.
In 2015, we did our first live show at a bar in Durham, North Carolina.
We were terrified.
Then we took that live show to New York.
From there, we tried out Seattle and San Francisco, where I got so sick after eating an oyster that I had to put on an Im Phoebe judge t shirt and try to make it to the cv's to pick up a prescription so that we could do the show.
I spent the 30 minutes before we went on stage, sitting at the free blood pressure machine at the drugstore with a Coke and some saltines, praying that the pill would stay down.
Once we came to Dublin and all the power went out in the middle of the show, I tried to keep going, remembering the story by heart.
And then about three lines in, I just burst out laughing.
Then Lauren started laughing.
The audience started, and there we all were in the dark.
It meant so much to us that people came.
And because so much of the work we do as alone, just me in a dark studio, staring at a computer.
Getting to meet some of you was the greatest thing.
We haven't done a live show since 2019, and we're very ready to get back to it.
So this February, we're heading out on a special 10th anniversary.
Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, St.
Paul, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Raleigh.
We're also going to Dublin and London.
