Hello, lovely.
I'm Maria, and my name is Rory, and we are the hosts of the IELTs speaking for Success podcast, the podcast that aims to help you improve your speaking skills as well as your listening skills.
Along the way, we started this podcast to give you gorgeous grammar and fabulous vocabulary for your high ielts.
Score.
Your band, nine score.
Oh, Rory, you look tired, Rory.
Yeah, we have a gala week in my hometown, so it's been very lively.
A gala week.
A gala week of Rory.
A gala week of my hometown.
Oh, okay.
Shall we talk about your city, your hometown?
Okay.
Yes.
Dear listener, in speaking part one, they can ask you questions about your city, your hometown.
Usually the examiner asks you about your work or studies or about accommodation, delivering a house or a flat, but sometimes the first couple of questions could be about your city or hometown.
And Rory here is from Scotland.
You remember, he lives now in the middle of Scotland, in a city, not a village, and Rory is super happy to tell us all about it.
I live in the fourth largest city in my country.
It's still a city in the middle of nowhere.
