In 1991, eight people embarked on a two-year experiment to create a completely enclosed, self-sustaining ecosystem in a domed research facility in Arizona. Inside the dome, there was a man-made savannah. A rainforest. A farm. An ocean with tropical coral reef. And all of these habitats would be populated with life. Things did not go according to plan. A few months back, I was invited to a conference which looked kind of, how do I say this bullshit?
It just seemed like a lot of academic mumbo jumbo from a lot of different scattered disciplines.
Not really my bag, but I'll tell you why I went to because the conference was hosted in biosphere two.
We're going to let this other modified tour go through, and then we're going to walk down to the rainforest.
Biosphere two is in oracle, Arizona.
