This is Detective Goro Koyama.
He's a friend and respected comrade in the world of investigations, and he's worked on numerous missing persons cases.
When I told Goro san about my conversation with the building guy about the noise complaint and the video footage, he agreed with me.
It sounded to him like Morimoto had hired a night moving service.
You know, yo nige.
And Goro san found that the yo nige experience was deeply weird.
As soon as I started, people told me to watch out for the boss because he's a yakuza.
I was amused by it, so I ended up working there for about half a year.
And for those six months, he worked 13 hours shifts with no overtime pay.
That's pretty shady.
The boss was a skinny guy, but his henchmen, they were a scary looking duo with punch perms.
A punch perm is kind of like the japanese attempt at a flat top.
It used to be the chosen haircut of low level yakuza.
They were called shimpira decades ago.
They had their tattoos out in the.
Open, wearing cut off sleeves.
Shortly after he started working there, Goro san was summoned to his boss's office.
The guy said he didn't like his attitude.
