Gentlemen, it's time for run, Bandy, run, an Apple original podcast produced by Campsite.
Media.
Milwaukee county medical exam case 1056 81.
The body is a white female, age.
Of 30 years, received into the morgue out of 528.
The t shirt is blood soaked and.
Torn below the posterior band.
The body is cooler than touch.
Why do we like all these gruesome stories, abductions and assaults and murders?
Like, why do we insist on knowing every last horrifying detail?
It could be the adrenaline rush.
But beyond that, my guess is it's a way of naming our fears.
Like a form of self preservation.
Or you could even call it superstition.
If we say the bad thing out loud, then it won't happen to us.
Kids do this, too, right?
Like, they tell ghost stories after dark just to scare the crap out of each other on purpose.
Because being scared is still better than being the victim.
Now, it's going to be a couple episodes before we get to the murder, but again, what I'm interested in, it's not just the ghost story.
It's not just the horrible, evil violence of that moment.
