This is the testimony of Elizabeth Holmes going on the record in San Francisco.
She was a rising star in Silicon Valley.
Did it concern you that a number of tests weren't working on Theranos devices?
I know that we made so many mistakes on this front.
Elizabeth Holmes, the Stanford dropout who appeared poised to change the world with her revolutionary blood testing technology.
If she had made this work, she would have been the next Steve Jobs, but didn't.
This was a product that didn't work.
She's accused of misleading doctors, patients and investors.
It's just a moral breakdown at the highest level.
Her fall from grace was spectacular.
In the three years since Elizabeth was charged with criminal fraud, she's been living life to its fullest.
It's just amazing.
Most people would be devastated, but not her.
She's in a new relationship with a hotel heir nearly a decade her junior.
She introduced her friend as her fiancee, and I was like, I wonder what story she has been telling him and herself, really?
And she's a new mom and just gave birth to her first child.
Oh, well, I certainly was just waiting for that.
Great way to garner jury sympathy.
I really think that could backfire.
