We covered Tigranes arrest in Nigeria on click here when it first happened back in February, and we've been closely tracking his case ever since.
If you're a regular listener, you already know that Tigrin Gambarian is a former IR's investigator and that he was behind some really epic dark market takedowns, things like Silk Road, Alpha Bay.
And then a few years ago, he left the government and began working investigations and compliance for a company called Binance.
It's thought to be the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world.
Nigerian regulators invited him to come to Nigeria for a couple of days of meetings, and that's when he was detained, and he hasn't been back to the US since.

Nigerian authorities are holding Tigrin responsible for what they say are a series of transgressions by Binance.
Among other things, prosecutors have charged him with everything from tax evasion to money laundering and operating without a license.
Binance and Tigrin have been fighting the charges.
