Sup the leader of the lockbit ransomware gang.
His name probably rings a bell.
He's been making headlines since February, when, well, he had a little trouble.
International law enforcement agencies, including here in this country, have cracked a case involving one of the world's most prolific digital gangs.
Lockbit has crippled a law enforcement dragnet, seized lockbits platform, a bunch of its tools, its crypto accounts, and even its source code.
And then three months later, in May, the Justice Department made another surprising announcement.
Through the meticulous work of our investigators and prosecutors, we have unmasked the man behind Lockvit.
Sup they doxed him, saying he was a russian national in his early thirties named Dmitry Horoshev.
And they charged him with 26 criminal counts, including extortion, wire fraud, and conspiracy.
Theres now a $10 million reward for any information that might lead to his arrest or conviction.
There have been no arrests.
