Adam heads back to Chicago to talk to a toy product designer (the return of Matt Harbert!) about toy safety, the obvious holes in Peacock's high school education, and what it takes to memorize a voodoo spell in this Child's Play themed episode. Welcome back to another episode of my neighbors are dead.
I'm your host, Adam Peacock, and we're all familiar with the big names in horror, Freddy Jason, Andre Talun, but who are not familiar with the ones just outside the terror.
The ones who didn't get to tell their tales.
I had a bunch of mask toys when I was a kid.
Those were the cool automobiles and vehicles that would turn into other vehicles, like, I think, the bad guys.
One was a plane that turned into a helicopter or vice versa.
But regardless, it was very cool.
And I had a little Formula one car, and a friend of mine was playing with it, and he drove it off the porch, and the wheel snapped when it hit the wall.
I was crushed.
That was kind of my favorite one, probably because it was the only one I had at the time, but I wish it would have been designed a little better.
You know, if those wheels were a little stronger, maybe it wouldn't have broke.
But also, you know, if you mess with the design, you really run the risk of that thing coming to life and trying to kill you.
I don't know.
Maybe toy owners don't have to deal with that, or toy makers don't have to deal with that, but not all of them don't.
I flew back to Chicago this week to talk to our guest, who's on the other side of that scenario.
Enjoy the show.
Welcome back to another episode of my neighbors are dead.
I'm your host, Adam Peacock, coming to you this week from one of my favorite places.
I'm back in Chicago.
I'm at the play partner toys office building and sitting inside the office of mister.
