Welcome back to another episode of my neighbors are dead.
I'm your host, Adam Peacock, and we're all familiar with the big names in horror.
Freddie, Jason, the hamburglar.
That guy's killing people.
And I bring him up for a reason, because when I was growing up, there was a place in Michigan called Miller's, and you could get a burger there, and it was all based on the honor system.
They'd bring it to you on a piece of wax paper and your.
And your drink, your pop, whatever else you ordered, and then you'd go up to the counter, and they would ask you what you had, and you told them, and you paid for it just like that.
No bills on the honors system.
And it was great.
Food was great, atmosphere was great.
And the best part of it was you could just eat your burger and leave.
You didn't have to worry about the whole town coming down on you and closing the doors and trying to blow it up because something escaped and got loose, and they want to kill it inside that restaurant.
You know, you could just go there and eat a burger.
But not everyone's lucky enough to have that experience.
I traveled to Grover's bend to find one of those unfortunate people and also someone who had more of a steak in it than just delicious burgers, their livelihood.
Enjoy the show.
