Been trying to get this podcasting this worked out now that the PosCast is with the goons over at Meadowlark media. Last week, this bonus JoeBlog podcast somehow got mixed up with the PosCast, it was mayhem, hopefully we got things worked out. This week, the magnificent Molly Knight — sign up for her Substack! — and I talk about baseball lockout, how optimistic we are about the season going on (spoiler: Molly is VERY optimistic) and whether or not Trevor Bauer will ever pitch for the Dodgers again. Hope you enjoy. And I’m still working on getting this podcast on Apple, Spotify and all the rest. This is a public episode. Hi, welcome to the Joe and Molly show.
We're doing this again.
I'm Joe Posnanski with Molly Knight.
Molly, we're doing another podcast.
What's going on?
Why are we doing this podcast?
I'm so excited.
Jo, I texted you yesterday because I was so sad that there hadn't been any movement on the lockout front, and I was starting to get really worried.
And then within the span of us sort of figuring out how to get a Zoom together, there is news.
They're going to have meeting tomorrow.
The players association and MLB powers that be are going to sit down and talk.
This is a miracle.
It is a miracle.
It's a little late Christmas miracle is what this is.
And, yeah, I mean, here's the thing.
We did our first little podcast maybe a month and a half ago about this, about the lockout and what was going on.
And at that time, we were both very optimistic.
We were like, hey, things are going to work out.
You know what?
The owners would be crazy to let this gravy train run out.
