As we approach the first anniversary on Monday of the Hamas attacks on Israel that started the still widening regional war, Israel is pressing ahead with its offensives on two fronts.
We'll come to Lebanon shortly, and we'll hear more about the anniversary later in the program.
First, to Gaza, where Israel responded to the 7 October attacks by Hamas with an intense bombing campaign followed by a ground invasion.
More than 42,000 people have been killed in Gaza since then.
Thats according to the territorys Hamas run health ministry.
With Israel having begun its ground invasion of southern Lebanon last week, the worlds attention has been drawn away from Gaza.
