Hey there, it's Nick.
A while back, my friends and I were working on a love and radio episode about a mostly forgotten british reality tv show from the mid aughts.
The story ended up becoming so twisty and fun we decided to break it out as its own six part series on CBC called Thrill Seekers.
I'm gonna play the first episode here, but you can listen to the rest of the story on CBC's split screen feed.
I have a link to it in the show notes.
Also, I've begun posting brand new love and radio episodes for Patreon members and Apple Podcast subscribers.
Those episodes will be dropping in this feed soonish, but if you can't wait, head on over to loveandradio.org member or hit the subscribe button in Apple Podcasts.
Thanks from love and radio, Vespucci and CBC.
This is split screen thrill seekers.
I'm Nick Vanderkolk.
Chapter one are you a thrill seeker?
Hello and welcome.
Welcome to sir how do you do it?
First, you place a pretty vague ad in the press.
So, Luis, just to start things off, can you introduce yourself for me and tell me about when you first saw the ad for the tv show?
I'm Louise Decker and I'm from Kent in the south east of England, so I think I must have been living back at home after university.
I definitely remember being at the computer in my mum and dad's house and thrills seekers wanted are you missing out on life's great experiences?
Is the british public missing out on you?
I think it was an email or maybe a star now type thing.
You need the personality to win over a nation, the determination to succeed, and more balls than you can ever imagine.
