Hey, it's Zach.
Welcome to the Best advice show.
Shreya's 30th birthday was approaching and she didn't know how she wanted to spend it yet.
People told me that I should go and get free stuff.
They said, you can get free drinks, you can get Sephora does free makeup, you can get free coffee at Starbucks, all that jazz.
And then I thought, what is it that people love giving for free?
And it's advice.
People love giving advice for free.
Then I thought, that should be fun.
So Shreya bought a big piece of poster board and scrawled out, it's my 30th birthday, give me free advice.
She packed it up in her apartment in New York City along with an audio recorder and was on her way.
I leave the house and this is important because I couldn't find my Metro card and I'm trying to like get into the subway and thankfully I have a giant board that says it's my birthday.
So somebody lets me in and I sit on the subway and I'm.
I'm terrified.
I am like shivering.
I'm shaking.
I'm listening to this book at the time called the Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer to kind of pump myself up.
Is that the musician?
Yeah, that's her.
Neil Gaiman's ex wife and musician.
