单集文稿 ...

  • Hey, it's your friend Mel.

  • And welcome to the Mel Robbins Podcast.

  • This weekend, my husband and I are going to go to this function where there's going to be a particular person.

  • And honestly, the person's really hard to deal with.

  • Like, it's always about them.

  • They hate it when things don't go their way.

  • And how do you know that?

  • Because they either erupt or they stir the pot, or they're constantly, like, making trouble or they're sulking in the corner, like, trying to draw the attention to them.

  • And here's the other thing about this person and their personality.

  • They don't have any interest in anyone but themselves.

  • Unless, of course, they need something from you.

  • And then, of course, you're the first person that they're going to call.

  • Now, I've bet you've got someone, or maybe many people like this in your life, too.

  • They never ask you a single question about your life.

  • It's like it doesn't even occur to them.

  • And it's not like it has to be about me all the time.

  • But it's so clear when you're around this person that it's always about them.

  • Is this ringing any bells for you?

  • Maybe it's your brother.

  • Maybe it sounds like I'm describing your boss or your dad or your mom, or maybe it's the person that your sister is now dating.
