Hello, I'm Vincent McAvini, broadcasting to you live from Midori House in London.
This is Monocle on Saturday.
Coming up on today's program, we have a look through the week's news and culture with Latika, book writer at large for the Nightly Australia.
Latika, what have you spotted?
Good morning, Vincent.
We'll be looking at the US Urging Israel to stop shooting at UN Peacekeepers in Lebanon.
Barack Obama telling black men in the United States that their support for Trump is not acceptable.
And the directors of leading art museums and galleries in Britain say these protests must end.
And finally, Vincent, we'll be looking at the mysterious disappearing case of the Cameroonian president.
Lots going on this week.
Then appreciating when you're making your own air and then using all of the water that you're creating.
How you actually manage that and what it means to share resources as a community is something that I think about now that I don't have that restriction.
Day to day, we hear from Taylor shepherd, one of the speakers at Monocle's Quality of Life conference in Istanbul.
Taylor, one of the first female submarine officers in the U.S.
navy, discusses maximizing quality of life while underwater.
Plus, we're joined by award winning author, playwright and essayist Kate Moss in the week she publishes the fourth and final part of her Joubert Family Chronicles series.
First, though, here is the news.
The US has urged Israel to stop shooting at UN Peacekeepers in Lebanon as it seeks out Hezbollah following two incidents in as many days.
The leaders of France, Italy and Spain also issued a joint statement condemning Israel's actions, saying they were unjustifiable and should immediately come to an end.
