Florian Egli and Samuel Schumacher join Monocle’s editorial director, Tyler Brûlé, to discuss the weekend’s hottest topics. We also speak to Andrew Beatty, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands News Editor at Agence France-Presse, for the latest developments in New Caledonia, and Monocle’s editor in chief, Andrew Tuck, gives us the view from London. Plus: film critic and regular Monocle Radio contributor, Karen Krizanovich, brings us all the gossip from inside the Cannes Film Festival. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Good morning from Zurich.
You're listening to Monocle on Sunday with me, Tyler Burley.
Coming up on today's program, Florian Egley is back also.
Samuel Schumacher is also here from the Blick.
Great to see you from Bavaria.
How are things?
Things are great in Bavaria and even nicer here.
So I'm here for a beautiful weekend.
Excellent.
Do you have some stories for us as well?
You have to sing for your supper, your lunch, your breakfast.
In this case, what's caught your eye this morning?
I have several stories.
One that's caught my eye is what's happening in Georgia, how civil society basically prepares for this.
Probably upcoming, pro Russian law.
Then we have a story on Switzerland, quite funny, and maybe one on Microsoft, if you get to it.
Very good.
Also, we're going to be talking to our editor in chief, Andrew Tuck in London.
We'll also be heading to the closet in Cannes to talk to Karen Krazanovich.
And we'll be heading to Sydney as well to get the latest on what's happening in New Caledonia.
