  • Debra Honig is the Chief Customer Officer for Samsung electronics in the UK and Ireland.

  • Deborah began her career at McKinsey specializing in strategy, marketing and commercial leadership before holding senior roles at various global powerhouses like Nike, Amazon and Starbucks.

  • With a wealth of experience in brand development and leveraging data and tech to enhance customer service, Deborah's driving growth and deep deepening customer connections at the brand.

  • She stopped by Midori House to discuss how Samsung is fostering a culture of creativity and leveraging its vast ecosystem to tackle real world challenges.

  • Deborah began by telling me about the intricacies of her role and the key priorities that shape her day to day work.

  • That's a really exciting time and a really exciting role that I'm in.

  • It really does its marks what I'd say is the next chapter in Samsung's evolution.

  • This role which is about bringing the breadth of our products and services together in a way that allows us to give the best possible solution to customers.

  • We have been innovating at Samsung for decades, developing products that solve problems, break down barriers.

  • But I think until now I would say a lot of those products worked in isolation.

  • Whereas with where we are with technology and with AI for example, which we'd rolled out to the breadth of our portfolio, there's not only benefits to understanding and connecting what happens on a particular device, but actually being able to understand and use the power of the whole ecosystem.

  • So a role like this, which integrates that and really puts the customer at the heart of it, really gives us an opportunity and really, you know what I think about gives us an opportunity to figure out both how to bring the best solution to a customer, also how to communicate and educate a customer based on where they're entering our portfolio of products and services or what their lifestyle is and serve them better than we've ever been able to do before.
