At the end of every year,
Google publishes its year in search and snapshot of what's most captivated us over the past 12 months.
From the biggest news events and most popular celebrities to our favorite TV shows or recipes,
2020's report was unsurprisingly dominated by COVID 19.
But among the queries about the virus and infection rates,
or the searches for sourdough bread or zoom,
many people wanted the answer to something much more basic but no less important.
What day is it?
That question saw a huge spike in popularity and was seen on the search engine more than ever before in 2020.
So much so that it became a kind of comic cliche.
This US News channel in Cleveland in Ohio certainly had fun with it.

As lockdowns shuttered many of our workplaces and schools and blocked us from our usual social contacts.
