Can peace be found in loud water?
In the spare time I've had on tour, I've been filming some falls.
It gets me close and perhaps it'll do the same for you.
There's something in the constant rumbling.
I want to stand underneath and not think about anything as it dumps on my head.
Some days I wish water would crash on my head at all times.
Nature's noise rock better experienced life.
But I hope you'll find watching large and small amounts of water go off the cliff was pretty great on video too.
I used to look for peace and quiet, but in the past couple years I developed finitis, a constant ringing in my ears.
Not uncommon, but it made the brown noise of waterfalls more appealing to me.
You're not going to believe this, but the term brown noise comes from Robert Brown, who studied the erratic motion for multiple types of inanimate particles in water compared to white noise.
Actually named for the color, it has a dampened or softened quality.
