Late on Saturday night, the news broke that Matthew Perry had died.
The iconic Friends star passed away at 54 and it really felt like world shaking news.
Since then, his Friends co stars put out a joint statement and in New York, fans have been laying flowers on the sidewalk outside the friend's apartment.
He's had these really well documented struggles with addiction and it felt like a kind of redemption narrative.
And then he dies so young.
You know, he's only 54.
He was only 54.
So that just felt, that just felt really sad from a kind of human, objective point of view.
