You're listening to the Global Countdown, first broadcast on the briefing on 24 October.
Fernando Augusta Pacheco joins me now for the Global Countdown.
Don Day.
Are we going today?
We are going.
I like when you say down there.
Very good Spanish.
It's funny because it could terrible Spanish.
It could be anywhere because there's a lot of Spanish speaking countries.
But I'm going to Uruguay.
They're having an election this weekend and you know, I don't usually time elections with global countdowns because it can be a little bit distasteful at times.
But I think Uruguay is such a nice country and you know, I think the story there about Uruguay when it comes to elections is that it's a very peaceful transition between left and right.
It's almost unique in South America in that way.
So I think it's fine.
So we have stable election Countdown.
Very stable.
Excellent.
Which is brilliant.
How stable is the music scene?
Well, the music scene, I have to say, from Uruguayan artists is still quite small.
