BBC Sounds Music Radio podcast it's 10 August 2007.
Marshall Ronald is in his office typing away on his keyboard.
He's composing an email to Mark Dalrymple, the loss adjuster appointed by the Duke of Percluse insurer.
It's Dalrymple's job to do everything he can to bring about the recovery of the missing Madonna.
So if Marshall and the team's plan to return the painting is going to work, they have to go through Dalrymple.
Problem is, once Marshall sends the email, there's no turning back.
Everything becomes much more real.
Dear Mr.
Dalrymple Ray Recovery of stolen Art Madonna of the Yarn Winder.
Our concern is to negotiate the safe repatriation of the painting and negotiate the reward finders fee on behalf of our clients.
We believe as a legal team we can negotiate the successful and speedy return of this precious artwork through an informal mediation type process.
In view of the sensitive nature of this matter, we would propose to invite you to a Without Prejudice meeting at the Glasgow offices of HJB Gately Waring on Monday 13 August 2007 at a mutually convenient time to be arranged.
Yours sincerely, Marshall Ronald.
Marshall takes a deep breath.
He hits send.
