Sandra Cain is my people.
We are sistering.
We are family, basically.
Our children were brought up together.
We need each other in a way that family needs each other.
We spend loads and loads and loads of time together in London, but she also now has a home up in Scotland.
Her name and her partner have a home up in Scotland in Edinburgh, and we don't really get to spend much time up there.
So getting to be with Sandra in her kind of one of her hometowns because she actually went to Glasgow art college as well.
And just being in Edinburgh with her and talking about poetry was particularly poignant because one of the things that she and I always bond over is linguistic beauty is eloquence.
We love words.
We swap books, we swap poetry.
She's an incredible artist, one of the most talented artists I've ever known.
Her work is inspiring.
She showed me how to see color in a very different way.
We have taught each other things as we have been along the road and we.
When I met her, she was just pregnant with Kane, and he must be about 58, but I know he's not.
But we've known each other for a really, really, really, really long time.
She was one of the people I met just after my died.
So her friendship has meant everything to me.
