I first got interested in podcasts in 2009 when I learned you could listen to this American Life on an ipod.
Living in New York, I took the subway everywhere.
So I didn't really listen to the radio anymore.
So it was a joy to learn.
I could still get radio while deep under 4th Avenue.
Of course, other great radio programs were out there too, like WNYC's on the media.
But there was also WTF with Marc Maron, just some comedian interviewing other comedians and Jordan Jesse Goh and film spotting and the New York City History podcast podcast, the Bowery Boys.
So many great shows in this newfangled podcast medium.
Then I met Joseph and he liked podcasts and we both liked talking about podcasts.
Then we made Night Vale and then some other podcasts.
