单集文稿 ...

  • You'll find your voice.

  • It's probably in the last place you left it.

  • This is Start with this a podcast featuring Night Vale creators Joseph Fink and me, Jeffrey Cranor.

  • Each episode, we discuss a topic and then give you two something to consume and something to create.

  • Start with this.

  • Writer's voice.

  • Art is hard.

  • Starting is hard.

  • If you want to start somewhere, you can start with this.

  • You can start with this.

  • Find your voice.

  • Develop your voice.

  • What is a voice when it comes to writing?

  • Do you just one day find a writing voice in a dirty pair of jeans as you're loading the laundry?

  • Or is it like gray hair?

  • Your writer's voice slowly starts to appear and you think, ooh, look, my first writer's voice.

  • And then one day, your head is covered with writer's voice, all stringy and dry and full of split ends.

  • Or maybe writer's voice is like self actualization, just a long journey toward a point you never truly reach.

  • It's only important that you try.

  • I don't really know how to define writer's voice, but I think I know what it is.
