  • Every Christmas season, I make a batch of homemade eggnog using the recipe from Joy of Cooking.

  • And I mean, to me, it's hilarious.

  • You make eggnog from scratch.

  • It's basically like a cake.

  • It's eggs.

  • Right.

  • It takes a dozen eggs, a pound of sugar, and a whole bunch of cream.

  • But then instead of flour, you use liquor.

  • Yeah.

  • You're preserving a cake batter.

  • It's basically preserved cake batter that you can drink.

  • Well, eggnog is boozy.

  • Oh, it's very strong.

  • This stuff will knock you on your butt.

  • I can have one eggnog and I probably won't even finish it because it is a little bit too much of everything for me.
