Hello, I'm Pippa from BBC learning English.
And in this series we're meeting leaders from all walks of life.
We'll find out what they think makes a good leader and learn some useful business English along the way.
Today we're hearing from Charmian love.
She is social entrepreneur in residence at Oxford University.
A social entrepreneur is someone who wants to use the world of business to solve the problems of society.
So leadership for me is about where and how people are able to move others to take the necessary actions that are required for meeting whatever the challenges that you're being faced with.
Charmian talks about leaders being able to move others.
If we move someone, we encourage or inspire them to do something.
So who is Charmian inspired by?
I've been inspired by the student strikers, those who are doing Fridays for the future.
I've been inspired by many of the movements that are really standing up, and they're made of everyday people that care enough about an issue that they're willing to stand up and be a part of a signaling of this is not okay.
The Fridays for the Future campaign was a protest organized by school students about climate change, and Charmian says leaders can come from lots of surprising places.
Just recognizing the really wide and diverse range in which people can step into leadership positions has been one of the joys of my journey.
There are really extraordinary people doing extraordinary things.
They're not always the people that you will see on the COVID of a newspaper.
What is Charmian's top tip for leaders of the future?
Know yourself.
Know what you have to give.
And know that whatever it is, it is valuable.
