For me, leadership is about having a vision and taking steps towards a vision for the greater good.
This is Maggie Palmer.
She's the founder of Pep Talk her, an organisation that helps women get fair pay and senior job roles.
I'm Pippa from BBC learning English and in this series we're meeting leaders from businesses and social organisations.
Well, ask them for their tips for becoming a successful leader, whatever your job is, and learn some useful business English along the way.
We're starting with Meggy.
Meggy set up Pep talk her in 2016 after her own experience of inequality at work.
Her passion is encouraging women to have the confidence to be leaders and tackling big issues like the gender pay gap and a lack of female bosses.
So what is Maggie's top tip for the leaders of the future?
Don't be scared of leadership.
Right?
Step into it.
Step into leadership at home, among your friendship group, among your community.
If you see a gap, if you see a challenge that you think should be solved, go ahead and create that change.
You know, it's an exciting time to be a leader and we're seeing, you know, Greta Thunberg and so many people around the world who are super young are having a huge impact on the world.
Meggie says that we should step into leadership.
This is another way to, say, embrace leadership, be enthusiastic about it, and we need to do this if we want to achieve our dreams.
It can be scary and it can be overwhelming.
In particular, sometimes, what will people think of me as a leader?
Will they judge me?
