When we use it on its own, it usually means that something is good.
Very good.
The shop has been selling quality goods for over a century.
We focus on quality.
We want to be the best.
It isnt always good though.
Quality can be about how good or how bad something is.
Im afraid the quality of your work isnt good enough.
Were going to let you go.
A quality of something or someone is one of their characteristics.
Your kindness is your best quality.
Keep mixing the sauce until it has a smooth quality.
So quality can mean something good could refer to how good or bad something is or one of its characteristics.
We think this has an informative quality and that it's really high quality.
