40 分钟Have you ever been doing really well in life, feeling in a really good place, emotionally, mentally, with your business?
And then there's this one little event.
Someone makes a comment, you get in an argument.
Maybe you go back to a certain environment, like you go back to visit your family, and boom, everything changes.
You might feel like an adolescent again.
There's so much rage and frustration, or like a kid with so much despair and hopelessness.
Maybe you're confused and overwhelmed, and suddenly the whole world looks different.
Everything, the thoughts about your body, your relationships, the plans that you have for the future seem far away, seem pointless.
And it seems like maybe everyone's being really hard on you, or they don't understand you and you just want to run away from all of it.
Collapse in on yourself, fight.
And you wonder, how did I get here?
What happened?
That is the emotional flashback experience.
Welcome to Trauma Rewired, the podcast that teaches you about your nervous system, how trauma lives in the body, and what you can do to heal.
I'm your co host, Elizabeth Christoph, founder of Brainbased.com, an online community where we use applied neurology, somatics, and trauma informed body based meditations to really resolve old trauma patterns, create resilience, and rehabilitate the nervous system for a new experience.
And I'm your co host, Jennifer Wallace.
I'm on the education team of the neurosomatic Intelligence coaching certification.
And I'm also an NSI practitioner that bridges the world of your nervous systems into sacred plant healing spaces.
And today we are diving into the first of our five components of this CPTSD series, emotional flashbacks.
What does it look like to manage this trauma response under the framework of neurosomatic intelligence, how do we even define this?
