Hello, and welcome to Health Check from the BBC.
I'm Claudia Hammond.
Today, diseases spread by insects such as West Nile virus and dengue, are turning up in new places.
And we'll be asking why.
And to help me today, I have BBC health and science correspondent James Gallagher.
How are you?
I'm very well, Claudia.
And I gather you have braved the possibility of being bitten, all in the name of science.
