  • Back in 2020, there was a provocative study that suggested black babies treated by white doctors fared worse than those treated by black doctors.

  • It caused particular fury given the Black Lives Matter mood.

  • Problem is, the researchers got it wrong.

  • And when King's Cross railway station opened in the 1850s, it sparked a development boom.

  • More recently though, it has become an industrial wasteland.

  • Now some of the world's biggest companies have moved in.

  • Our correspondent went for a wonder.

  • First up though, last Wednesday, as Europe woke up to news of Donald Trump's election victory, those in Germany were focused on domestic politics and and the future, or lack of their own government.

  • A fragile coalition of three parties had governed the country since 2021.

  • But despite last ditch efforts to keep it together, the coalition fell apart.
