Antonio says birthdays were a big deal, a chance to have a good time.
Anita would pull out all the stops.
Man, I forget how old I turned, but she threw me apart.
And remember, the cake had a devil on it.
It did pitchfork and tell, you know.
These parties were full on affairs.
Balloons and games and toys for the kids.
Food and music and a little smoke and card games for the adults.
Everybody in the neighborhood was invited.
Half the people I didn't even know.
It's just a lot of kids, you know.
