Welcome to Valley Heat.
I'm Doug Duguay.
This is a podcast about the neighborhood, my neighborhood, the Burbank Rancho Equestrian District right here in Los Angeles county, brought to you today.
Okay, so Gary Janthony has this new drink.
It's really good.
It's called Frosty Belgian Beer.
And basically, it's just a frozen Belgian beer.
It's like a Belgian beer slushie.
He's developed some brewing technique where each bottle has the alcoholic content of a keg of beer.
It's deceptively strong.
A lot of people are passing out on his lawn, a lot of people jumping off the roof.
A lot of injuries.
It's one of those beers where you drink one and you think, you know, I think I could go to war with a musket right now.
But no one's thinking about the beer right now.
They're thinking about this giant sign he has advertising this drink.
And when I say bright, I mean no one in the immediate area has slept in days, including me.
I don't know what's powering the sign.
It's hard to believe that something could be as bright as this and not be the sun.
The best way I could describe it is if you've ever had a fever and you're in a drugstore at 2am trying to find a Tylenol and a thermometer, and they've got the lights up to.
They found a level that's past the brightness of helping.
