Doug leaves the house to finish the episode because the house is being renovated. Terry Melon is still suing. The Jaguar is possibly discovered.
Welcome to Valley Heat.
I'm Doug Duguay.
This is a podcast about the neighborhood, my neighborhood, the Burbank Rancho Equestrian District right here in Los Angeles County.
Anyone who is in or has been in a long term relationship knows that there's a lot of love and an equal amount of pure rage.
And anyone who's tried couples therapy knows that the therapist has no idea what they're, what they're talking about.
I didn't write this.
This is Jan, Jan and Paul.
They love each other so much, but they, when they fight, they really fight.
The way Jan Robinson puts it, if you've never punched a hole in the wall during a relationship, I'm assuming you don't have walls.
And that's why Jan and Paul have started Breaker Breaker night on Saturday nights at Champaign Cowboy.
CB radio, of course, is the most popular form of communication between neighbors in the Rancho Equestrian District.
So on Breaker Breaker night, you bring your CB radio, you radio your spouse who you've been fighting with, and you say, breaker, breaker.
How about a peacemaker?
If they say that's an affirmative, then you reply, 10, 4.
You'll find me sitting in the window.
And when your spouse or partner shows up, there is a great variety of breakaway furniture to throw at each other, break over each other's head, as well as candy glass to throw each other through.
You can even use real furniture if you want, provided that both of you can squat and bench press the same amount of weight.
There are three rounds.
The crowd votes on the winner and the loser is put backwards on a horse and sent flying down the road.
And make no mistake, this is a fight to determine who is right.
