On the day of the autumn Economic Statement, Canada's finance minister resigns at odds with Justin Trudeau over trade tariffs.
The government seems to be in freefall.
The Deputy prime minister resigning is big, big news and gosh, it's not entirely clear where things are going.
Political turmoil in Germany as the Chancellor loses the confidence of Parliament.
But is a change of leadership what the economy now needs?
There, of course, is a high risk that complacency returns faster than we can imagine and that Germany will still be stuck in stagnation next year and the year after.
And a leading insurance boss tells us after the shooting of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in New York, more security for execs is now inevitable.
It has been a really interesting discussion inside of the US around business leaders that are now targets based on the firms they work for.
