President Emmanuel Macron's decision to delay announcing his new prime minister until Friday morning might just put a pause on the political turmoil, but it's not going to solve the country's deepening economic challenges overnight.

Macron has cut short his visit to Poland to return home and focus on finalizing next year's budget.
His government is under pressure to address rising debt levels and economic stagnation, while also navigating Thursday's decision by the European Central bank to cut its key interest rate to 3%.
