This was an impregnable fortress.
The only way you got out was.
In a wooden box.
The controversial maximum security prison, impossible to escape from.
One of the duties of a political.
Prisoner is the escape the IRA inmates who found a way.
I'm Carlo Gabler and I'll be navigating a path through the disturbing inside story of the biggest jailbreak in british and irish history.
The narrative that they want, that this.

Well, I remember as a 14 year old lad, just myself and my dad, watching the World cup.
We're going back now some 32 years to 1990, which was when I first discovered not only the great Luciano Pavarotti, but the fabulous aria from Piccini's opera Turandot, nessundorma.
And I remember it was the famous broadcasting legend of Desmond Lynem introduced Paparotti and his performance of Ness and Dormer as the BBC were using the actual theme music as part of their opening and closing credits.
From the minute that the orchestral introduction came in and then Pavarotti started, I just felt something that I'd never felt before.
And I sort of remember glancing over to my dad, who was sat just on the sofa across from me just to sort of see how he was reacting to it.
And again I saw a look on his face that I'd never seen before.
And all the way through it I kept looking at the screen and then looking at my dad until it reached that huge climax at the end and literally all the hairs on my arms were raised and back of the neck.
Goosebumps galore.
